Hi there, my name is Fabio Rapposelli, I’m 29 and I’m currently a Sr. System & Storage Architect for Cinetica a small Consulting and me400px.png Systems Integration firm based in the Republic of San Marino (yes, it’s a country :-) ).

I work a lot with VMware, I’m VCP on both Virtual Infrastructure 3 and vSphere 4, VSP, VTSP and I started my VCDX certification in June 2010 I’m now VCDX #58 :-) .

I am proud of myself for being the first (outside VMware of course) to boot ESX 3 on VMware Workstation 6 successfully:

Paving the way to the virtualized ESX home lab scene ;-)

I’m also into storage, I’ve put my hands on almost every storage in the market and I’m holding a couple of certs on them too, I’m NetApp Certified Data Administrator and Implementation Engineer, HDS Modular Storage Integration Specialist and Compellent Certified Installation Professional.

I’m in the IT field since 1999 and I’ve been involved in technology almost from the cradle, I learned to read on a C64 at the age of 4 and wrote my first BASIC program on it at 6.

You can find my social network linkage on my Google profile here:

I’m a strong believer of the D.I.Y. (do it yourself) philosophy, I’ve built my own home lab through the years and used it to learn the ropes on new products.

P2V It! is my attempt to communicate my thoughts to a larger audience. As you may have noticed I’m not a native English speaker, and my last attempt at blogging passed unnoticed to the Italian audience (despite writing in Italian), on the other hand, I’ve found more hits from Google Translator than from Italian IPs.

That made me rethink my “blogging strategy” :-)

So here I am, please forgive any grammatical mistake, and if you have any advice let me know at: fabio@p2v.it
